Minister Barbara Gray

Barbara Gray was raised in New York. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The College of New Rochelle, a Master’s Degree in Divinity from the New York Theological Seminary, and a perused a Nursing degree from Hunter College. Barbara has been employed by the New York Board of Elections since the age of 19. She currently serves as a Judicial Delegate, Political Coordinator and Supervisor, Trainer for Poll Workers, Affidavit Worker, and County Clerk. Her distinguished lineage includes her great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather, who was the first Legislator and Congressman in South Carolina. 

 With over 20 years of experience at the Department of Social Services, Barbara has worked for the New York City Human Resource Association/ Department of Social Services and Fitzpatrick Housing.  A certified Substance Abuse Counselor of New York State. Barbara also served as a Chaplain at Bronx Lebanon Hospital since 2015, providing support to those seeking medical care. She has dedicated over 40 years to serving her community in the 79th Assembly District. Having work with former New York State Senator Jeff Klein, who represented the 34th Senate District, Deputy Democratic Leader for the Senate Democratic Conference.  As a Political Advisor and elected NY Judicial Delegate, Barbara has played a significant role in electing numerous judges and officials within and beyond the 77th and 79th Assembly Districts of New York, facilitating the placement of political candidates in office. 

On September 8, 2024, she preached her Initial Sermon at her home church, Goodwill Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Booker T. Sears Jr, Pastor.  There she received her license to preach.

Barbara is the proud mother of four daughters, all of whom are college graduates and three beautiful granddaughters.  She is truly anointed and blessed.
